At SwimAbout we pride ourselves on being different, a cut above the rest!

Our lessons are based upon a framework called the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) produced by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), National Governing Body for Swimming. This is a national syllabus for delivering aquatics and provides stages for your child to progress and become competent, confident and safe in water.

• The swim school is open to all children aged *4 – 12 years
• Class sizes are 4 for non swimmers, and 6 for all other groups.
• The lesson will run for 30mins, over a 10 – 12 week period.
• All teachers are CRB checked (enhanced).

SwimAbout is ideal for any parent wishing to receive something more from a swimming lesson and throughout the term than you might currently be getting, as we strive to provide quality over quantity in terms of lesson structure. Class sizes are kept low purely for the benefit of the pupil and will give a great deal more individual tuition time for each pupil.

Having spoken to countless parents over the years I came to find that the main predicament faced by them in regards to their child’s swimming development was that it was inconsistent and/or of poor quality; this is chiefly down to the teaching standards within the company and by implication the company itself, which unfortunately leads to an ineffective swimming technique that takes months or even years to correct, if picked up upon at all. It is vital that in the early stages of development that a child learns the correct technique and is given a complete confidence of the water.

This is why we believe that by engaging the child through exceptional coaching practices and fun they will have a better understanding of what it is they are doing and therefore be better motivated, better prepared and in better shape than ever before.

* Please note that the age range stated is not a strict requirement as an importance on the child’s capacity to receive instruction and natural swimming ability is also taken into account. Assessments can be arranged on contact.
